Our Story
It was 2019, we had just embarked on a new chapter of our life: the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). had heard stories about the camp experience, the fun, the challenges, and the friendships, but nothing could have prepared us for what we were about to experience in SOKOTO
Dalu :2weeks in camp , one beautiful evening my bunkmate came to mami(canteen) with this pretty babe , hi am chukwudalu, you ? Am ijeoma oh you’re Igbo yes
Ijeoma : on that same evening , met him at mami (canteen) through his bunkmate my friend Hi am ijeoma , you ? Am chukwudalu.
Over the next few days, we spent more time together—walking to the parade ground, chatting under the shade of the trees, and laughing over meals in the camp canteen. I was drawn to his intelligence, his humor, and the way he seemed to genuinely care about everyone around him and cared a lot about me 🥰But there was also a quiet strength in him, a depth that I hadn’t expected but couldn’t ignore.

I first met Petra with Dalu at a mutual Friend's wedding in December 2021. Last year, I saw them again at the beach. They looked happy, completely at ease—like two people who had found exactly where they belonged, so it was no surprise when Dalu informed me that she was going to be his wife. Fast forward to today, she has proven to be the one for him and he is keeping his word. I wish the couple a lovely wedding ceremony and a happy married life!
